You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You are the reason for this tour, this show, and these memories. I hope you remember it as well as I do.
We got to the venue super early that day about 45 minutes before doors opened so we could hang out with the members of Melbourne Swifties before we went in.
When doors opened we went straight down to our seats and before we could even put our stuff on the chairs there was a member of Taylor Nation there asking us if they could take a photo of us for their twitter so of course we said yes and they posted it to their twitter about 30 minutes later.
We got some drinks and went back down to our seats to get ready for the show and meet up with other fans we knew on the floor. When the opening act started we were going hard! we had the light up sticks from the merch store and were just dancing like crazy through every song Broods and Charli xcx performed. Then Taylor was next!!! We were screaming, crying and dancing like crazy!!!! Through every song we were jumping and waving our batons everywhere it was so much fun. Then during LWYMMD my friend i think thats Andrea over there but we didn’t pay much attention and kept dancing around, then ¾ of the way through LWYMMD i look to my left and Andrea is dancing with us!!! i couldnt believe it!! once she got all of our attention she asked us three questions: “I’ve met you girls before haven’t i?”, “If i haven’t met you before then has Taylor met you before?”, “would you girls like to come to rep room tonight?” then a woman from taylor nation came out and put wristbands on us and handed us the rep room pass and we all hugged Andrea and thanked her a million times and as she left she said “see you girls tonight!”
The rest of the show is honestly a blur, after we got the pass i fell to the floor and ripped my skirt to my undie line (lmao) and i spent most of the show trying to stop it from ripping more which didn’t work. We all cried and cried for the rest of the show and i honestly can’t remember half of the show!
Once the show finished we met up with a few other girls that we saw get rep room and headed over to the section that was on our pass. Once their the taylor nation people came over and took a look at all of our IDs and got us to fill information in iPads. Once we all did that they walked us backstage and told us to put all of our stuff on this table outside rep room!!!
We couldn’t bring anything in including phones but they had polaroid cameras for us to use once inside the room. There were drinks, pizza, cookies and brownies there to eat, the LWYMMD throne and a few outfits from various music videos. We spent about 30 minutes in there until a Taylor Nation person came out and told us all to put the cameras down and form a line around the room because taylor was about to walk in! Taylor walked in and she was wearing a green sweater and black shorts with boots and looked like a GODESSSSS! She said a quick hi and then walked through to the meet and greet area. We were the third group to go up and while the group before you is meeting taylor you get to meet Andrea and get a photo! so we walked up to Andrea and thanked her and talked about how we are doing all the shows and she joked about how now we won’t have to wear costumes and she was just super super nice! then it was our turn to walk in. When we walked in Taylor was standing there open arms ready for us to hug her, i walked in first and hugged her then grace and selin hugged her.
Taylor asked about our outfits and we said they were steve irwin inspired snake catchers and that selin drew the design on the back and taylor said it was amazing! I told her about how i got a job on Monday to be a RN for next year and she grabbed my shoulders and told me how proud she was of me and then i showed her my tattoo that says “these things will change” and i explained the meaning behind it and she told me i was so strong and that it wasn’t my fault and gave me an amazing pep talk about how strong i am and how much I’ve overcome and i started crying (so embarrassing) and she gave me the biggest cuddle i couldn’t believe it!!! She also told me that im going to be an amazing nurse cause to be a great nurse you have to have a good beside manner and she can already tell that i have that???!?!??!??! then Selin spoke about what she wanted to say and Grace said what she wanted to say and Taylor kept responding and caring about every single thing we said i genuinely was in awe. Like she was listening to everything that we said so intently and responding and making conversation, the talking part literally lasted like 5 minutes which i couldn’t believe because most meet and greets last 30 seconds! Then Taylor said “so should we take a photo” and she said that we can do whatever pose we want and she’s happy to hold hands so we explained to her what we were thinking and i just felt her arm come over my shoulder to hold my hands and I DIED LIKE THERE AND THEN LITERALLY FUCKING DIED. i HELD HER HANDS!!!!! and she grabbed my hand so tight i could deal then we took the photo and got to hug her goodbye and tell her that we love her one last time and then as we were leaving we got handed the signed photo and lead to where we can catch an uber from by security!
Walking out i was sobbing like crazy and all the security guards kept making jokes and telling us not to cry hahahaha but i couldn’t help it i was just so happy! Im still in shock about what happened, it honestly feels like a dream!
